MediCradle Delivers First Units for Clinical Testing

A new type of infant incubator for developing countries.

The initial MediCradle infant incubators have shipped to Malawi and Nepal. These two units will undergo clinical testing for the next 60-90 days. Upon completion of testing, MediCradle expects to start full production of their low-cost, durable infant incubator designed specifically for developing countries.

Every year, countless newborn infants in developing countries die shortly after birth. Needlessly.

MediCradle is a new type of infant incubator that has been designed to work in the challenging conditions of developing countries.

  • Low Cost
  • Durable
  • Efficient Power Usage
  • Easy to Operate
  • Easy to Maintain and Repair

MediCradle has been designed to be extremely affordable. MediCradle expects to provide incubators for a cost of less than $3500 each, which is roughly 5% – 10% of the cost of most new incubators.

The MediCradle Team

MediCradle is the vision of John Keltonic and the product of thousands of volunteer hours by engineers, doctors, NICU nurses, accountants, lawyers, surgeons, testing companies, and supporters. The MediCradle website maintains a full list of contributors.

Sanctuary Software is proud to have provided consulting, regulatory support, verification, and validation for the project. Delivery of the initial units this holiday season is rewarding news for all of the contributors.
